Dr. Jones graduated in 2001 from Canada’s only program in Chiropractic. The evidence-based school is a four year doctoral program that involves intense academic courses that include cadaver anatomy, systems physiology, pathology, neurology, bio-mechanics, orthopedics, x-ray theory and reading and a 12 month internship that concentrated on evidence-based approaches to treating and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries.Dr. Jones has been practicing for 10 years in Lawrence, Kansas. He has treated a wide variety of patients from professional, NCAA and Olympic athletes to everyday individuals who have strained something from household activities to weekend warrior activities. Dr. Jones is the most experienced provider of ART in Lawrence. He was first certified in ART in 1999. His current practice focus is on relieving his patient’s pain, improving their function and fixing there injuries with a personally tailored rehab and exercise program to ensure no reoccurrences of the injury. Dr. Jones is trained in the latest exercise techniques to ensure proper fitness, proper daily movement, proper ergonomic/office movement and set up all with the intention of giving his patients the means to help themselves and not have to depend on him.
Abby Robinson, D.C.
Dr. Abby Robinson grew up in Great Bend, KS where she was an avid swimmer competing on the summer team and her high school team. With a passion for anatomy and learning how the body works, Dr. Robinson went on to the University of Kansas to study Exercise Science. During her time at KU, she was able to do an internship with Dr. Rob Jones at Peak Performance Health Center before she graduated in 2007. Dr. Robinson then went on to Cleveland Chiropractic College – KC where she graduated cum laude in 2010.While attending Chiropractic College, Dr. Robinson completed full body certification in Active Release Technique® (ART). With ART, Dr. Robinson can evaluate the functionality and treat any abnormalities of soft tissues that she finds. Dr. Robinson is now the only female chiropractor in the Lawrence area certified in ART.Dr. Robinson also has certification in the Webster Technique. Webster utilizes specific protocols to help women to have a more comfortable pregnancy through spinal health. In addition to these techniques, Dr. Robinson is trained in the latest rehabilitation exercises. With these exercises, she is able to help her patients gain strength and stability as they heal.
In her free time, Dr. Robinson enjoys rooting on the Jayhawks and spending time with her new baby and her husband, Nathan and their Great Dane, Bailey!
